Very friendly staff, beautiful countryside location, good soundproofing in room (even though it overlooked the street, with the French window closed, nothing could be heard), very nice continental breakfast though range a bit limited.
A bit expensive by UK standards.

Really clean comfy room with lovely wooden floors. Great location, looked like the best hotel in town.
We had to change rooms because the noise from the bar stopped us sleeping. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful so this wasn't a huge problem and didn't spoil our stay.

The food in the Terrace was excellent, and an excellent value. Service, also very good.
The biggest problem was that so few staff people spoke English. So, it was hard to get a sheet instead of a blanket, difficult to explain that we wanted a room without a cot in the middle of the room. It was hard to get information. And the hotel did not have an iron for guest to use. This is standard in the usa in hotel rooms. People who did speak English were helpful. And the wait staff were so nice, even though they did not speak English. Lovely town, lovely area for visiting.

The bed was comfortable.
The reception was a little indifferent, and, having waited over ten minutes to be served in the otherwise very pleasant outside bar/restaurant, we gave up and went elsewhere.
